Used equipment

Used Equipment Financing

Used equipment can stretch a budget further, and it comes with more questions. Age, hours, condition, seller type and documentation all shape how a lender reviews the request.

Used excavator and track loader on a commercial job site

This page explains what lenders tend to look at and what to have ready. Not every machine or seller will meet a given lender’s requirements.

Used equipment you can request financing for

  • Construction machines such as excavators and loaders
  • Trucks and trailers used in a business
  • Tractors and farm implements
  • Manufacturing and shop equipment
  • Other commercial equipment used in your business

Consumer purchases are not financed through this site.

New and used considerations

  • Age and condition: older or high-hour equipment may face shorter terms or extra review.
  • Seller type: dealer sales are usually simpler to document; private-party and auction purchases may need extra steps, and some lenders may not finance them.
  • Valuation: lenders want the price to reflect the equipment’s value. Market-data valuation is not connected on this site, so no estimated value is shown.

Factors lenders review

Each lender weighs these differently. We do not publish credit-score cutoffs because none applies across lenders.

  • Credit profile of the business and its owners
  • Time in business and revenue
  • Equipment age, hours, condition and maintenance history
  • Price compared with the equipment’s value
  • Down payment and requested term

Documents to prepare

None of these are needed to submit our request. A lender may ask for them later.

  • Dealer purchase: invoice or buyer’s order with serial number and price
  • Private seller: proof of ownership, bill of sale and lien payoff details
  • Auction: invoice, payment deadline and any buyer premium
  • Photos of the equipment and its serial or data plate
  • Recent business bank statements, if requested

How the application process works

  1. Submit a pre-qualification request

Tell us the equipment, the amount and a few business details. The form does not ask for your SSN, bank login or documents.

  2. Confirm details

A representative may contact you to confirm the request. A financing provider may then ask for documents such as a quote or bank statements.

  3. Review any options

If a provider can work with the request, you review what it offers. You are not obligated to accept.

  4. Complete the lender’s requirements

The lender or financing provider makes the credit decision and sets the terms. Ai Loan Brokerage LLC is a loan broker, not a direct lender.

Payment example (illustrative only)

$50,000 financed at an assumed fixed annual interest rate of 10% over 60 months gives approximately $1,062.35 per month under standard monthly amortization. Total payments are approximately $63,741; interest approximately $13,741.

Excludes fees, taxes and insurance. No down payment is included. This is not a quote, APR disclosure or approval offer. Your actual rate, term and payment are set by the lender.

Used Equipment Financing questions

Can an older machine qualify?
Sometimes. Age and hour limits vary by lender and by equipment type and are not set by this website. Accurate age, hours and condition help set realistic expectations early.
What does a private-seller purchase require?
Expect more verification than a dealer sale, commonly proof of ownership, a bill of sale, lien payoff information and photos. Some lenders may not finance private-party sales.
Will you tell me what my equipment is worth?
No. Market-data valuation is not enabled on this site, so no estimated value is produced. Value and eligibility are determined by the financing provider.

What to expect when you submit a request

Who we are
EquipmentLoan.com is operated by Ai Loan Brokerage LLC, a registered Georgia LLC acting as a loan broker. We are not a direct lender.
Who decides
The financing provider reviewing your request decides eligibility and sets any terms. Approval and terms depend on the lender and your business's qualifications.
How your request is shared
Your request goes to our records system and to financing providers who may review it, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information.
Credit checks at this step
The form asks you to choose a self-reported credit range and does not ask for your Social Security number. Submitting this request does not by itself trigger a soft or hard credit inquiry. Any credit inquiry requires your separate authorization and is performed by the financing provider, not by this website.
